The Gold Leaf Sicilian Sunshine Bay Laurel is a New Favorite of Culinary Gardens

The Bay Laurel Sicilian Sunshine is a striking golden leaf bay laurel plant. As with other bay laurel varieties, the Sicilian Sunshine is hardy outdoors in zones 8, 9 and 10.

This fragrant plant makes a great houseplant that can be moved outdoors during the summer months. Use your bay laurel leaves in stews, soups, and casseroles for added flavor. The perfect holiday gift for your favorite indoor gardener.

Growing your Bay Laurel indoors: Select a well-drained container 10 to 14 inches in diameter and pot with fresh potting soil. Move to a very brightly lit area - direct sunlight is best. In winter keep within 55 to 65 degrees. Excessive heat can cause stress and rapid drying while cold temperatures (prolonged periods below 45 degrees) can cause damage. Move your bay laurel outdoors in summer, if possible: sunlight and fresh air encourage growth.
